The Renju International Federation is the international overall organization in the domains of Renju, was founded in August 8, 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden.

RIF unites national federations and directs the renju world. RIF also includes the game of Five In A Row as an additional game.

The main tasks of RIF are to unite renju countries, carry out important international title competitions such as World Championships and others, to spread renju in world.

The Renju International Federation consists of member countries and non-countries, three of them are the founder-members. The active member countries and non-countries are shown in the table. Besides the member countries, there is some renju activity in many other countries as well. THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The General Assembly, being the highest authority of RIF, exercises the legislation and also the executive power. It supervises the activities of the Central Committee, the President and also of the other RIF officials. It sets up the RIF budget, elects the President and the other RIF officials. It sets up the schedule of RIF activities.
The General Assembly consists of: Member Countries (see above), members of Central Committee, chairmen of commissions.
The General Assembly is usually held once in two years, during the time period of Renju World Championship.

THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE
The Central Committee concerns itself with the general situation of RIF, the activities of the President and those of other officials. It deals with the annual reports of the President and the Treasurer as well as further subjects listed on the agenda for the General Assembly and submits recommendations on those subjects to the General Assembly.
Currently there are 6 active positions in The Central Committee: The President, three Vice-Presidents, General Secretary, Treasurer. The Auditor may also be elected as a member of Central Committee by General Assembly.
