The Translation Commission was Established in 1997, by General Assembly. The purpose of the commission was stated in General Assembly protocol in 1997: The Translation Commission's task is to try to translate Renju rules into each language of the connection men. If possible it will also translate the book "The Click Of Stones" into English.

Currently, the main translation is focused on Chinese language as China is the largest renju community in the world. It would be good idea to consider the translations from Chinese into English in the future as well.
