My favorite songs | 2008-05-06 17:12:12 |
I guess almost everybody likes to listen music and songs sometimes. Sometimes we also sing along, no matter how good or bad we sing. :) It is very relaxing. I do not know what other renju players like to listen but here are some examples of my favorite songs that I have been listening these years. I will group them by the language or the origin of the performer, starting from Chinese. Wherever possible, I will try to add a Youtube or other public source link, so that you can also listen to the song.
I also like to collect original CDs and DVDs of the singers I like. In my belief, buying original CDs is not only the issue of copyright, but this way we can support the singer to continue the music career. This way we might hear more wonderful songs in the future.

紀曉君 (Ji Xiao Jun)
流浪記 (Liu Lang Ji)
|

She is the native Taiwanese, from Taidong area native group. The first part of the song is in Mandarin language, while the 2nd part is in her own language. I wonder how many people today can understand that dialect? You can see the big difference. She is so talented. Unfortunately, most people do not know much about her.

梁靜茹 (Liang Jing Ru / Fish Leong)
勇氣 (Yong Qi)
如果有一天 (Ru Guo You Yi Tian)
愛你不是兩三天 (Ai Ni Bu Shi Liang San Tian)
為我好 (Wei Wo Hao)

Fish Leong (Liang Jing Ru) is a Malaysian singer, she is one of the most well-known Asian singers today. Nearly all her songs are in a romantic style. She has a good voice and can confidently perform in live concerts without any digital support.

蔡依林 (Cai Yi Lin / Jolin)
檸檬草的味道 (Ning Meng Cao De Wei Dao) (the best one)
好想你 (Hao Xiang Ni)
天空 (Tian Kong)
假面的告白 (Jia Mian De Gao Bai)

|
Everybody knows Jolin in Asia. She does not need any introduction. :) However, she is more popular among young people with more energetic songs, and with her dance videos. Her recent style is something like this: Mr.Q.

順子 (Shun Zi / Shunza)
寫一首歌 (Xie Yi Shou Ge)
I am Not a Star
I'm Sorry
回家 (Hui Jia)
It's Gonna Be Alright
問自己 (Wen Zi Ji) |

Shunzi is famous for her talent and good voice. She is a Taiwanese singer. She lived in US during one period of her life, and her music had quite much influence from there, such as R&B and a little bit rap influence. The song "xie yi shou ge" was one of the first Chinese language songs that I learned to sing, accompanied by guitar. It was slow enough for me at that time, and part of the lyrics were in English. I like that song very much.
