Very nice article! :) I just don't understand all the depression over missed first place. The photo of 3 finalists is like a picture from funerals.
Come on, renju is for fun, for happiness!! I felt pity for losing an important game in WC 1995, costing me the first place, but I was so happy and smiling in closing ceremony. :P
I never think of my losses as "lucky opponent". If I lost a game, it means I was not good enough, either knowledgewise, physically or psychologically. However, sometimes I think of my own wins as "lucky me". :P
Interesting!
Guys, if you want to inspire your fans, smile more, take it easy, show them that this game is enjoyable and it is a great festival to be in. :D |

Sometimes, in fact quite quite often, in order to win one has to firs learn to accept the possibilty of a failure. Be it ill uluck for that matter. In my opinion, however, the author should feel rather blessed with quite some luck in the round 5. If the opponent and the future champion wasn't in some state of weakness there the author might have landed much lower than silver. The more reason to enjoy the second place. |
