First news from Japan | 2008-03-08 11:58:30 |
Hello! Everyone!
Japanses players are very shy and can't speak English so Probablly only a few player contacts here. (Except Mr. Okabe)
I will write Japanese renju news occasionally.
<Young players beat old players!>
Mr. Kamo (true name=Oosumi) beat meijin Hasegawa ... |

Great!! :))
Is it possible to see Okabe-Nakamura games here? It would be really exciting for everyone in renju world! |

How to show the diagram? |
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-08 16:24:33 |
Below your article you can find 3 buttons:
+Text, +Diagram, +Photo
Using these, you can add photos and renju diagrams together with more text into your article.
When you press "+Diagram", then below the diagram there is an instruction with grey text about how to use it. |
|

When I click the buttum, appear the next messeges.
alt="Your browser understands the <APPLET> tag but isn't running the applet, for some reason. Your browser is completely ignoring the <APPLET> tag!"
I also can not see all diagrams. I think I must introduce APPLET, but I don't know how. |

Oh I guess it means, your browser (maybe Internet Explorer) does not have Java installed.
Other browsers (Firefox etc, have Java installed automatically).
Try open www.java.com and press green button "Download Free Java".
(The renju diagrams are based on Java Applets). |

If your pc can see any renju diagrams of renjuNet, then your Java is ok. |
|
Norihiko Kawamura | 2008-03-08 17:04:46 |
I could install JAVA. Now I can see the diagram.
However, I can not write the article with diagrams....Why?
|

6. Continue from point 3 if you have more text, photos or diagrams to add. |
|

Of course, you can add diagrams to any of your other articles too, by using the "+Diagram" button |

Though I tried manay times, I could not succeed.
I will ask someone who know it and try again.
Please wait a moment! |
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-08 17:48:46 |
It uses the same procedure as publishing renju games in Renjunet website. Kazumasa Tamura has published 45 games before, Hiroshi Okabe 5 games before. Maybe they can help testing, too? |
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-08 17:54:07 |
One more way to test is: change websites's address to:
http://61.57.134.225/~renju/
and then try to write article and diagrams. |
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-08 23:07:31 |
Now the Blog has Multi-language system, it is allowed to write topics in different languages now. I hope more Japanese players will come to write here. :) |
|
Norihiko Kawamura | 2008-03-08 23:34:39 |
I got it!
When I use my home PC, it was successful.
When I use my company PC, it was not successful.
So I guess security guard caused bad effect.
Thanks! |
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-08 23:49:11 |
Oh, I am glad it works!! :)
So from now on, you can share more renju diagrams with us, I hope. :)) |

Yuriy Tarannikov | 2008-03-08 23:53:58 |
I have found 18 games in different databases with such 8th move. White has an advantage by statistics: +5-12=1. The oldest of games is Alexandrov - Kozhin, 2003. The 9th move of Mr. Okabe seems to be new. :) |
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-08 23:57:18 |
Yuriy, maybe you can publish some games with stronger 9th in comment area here? Thanks! |
|
Yuriy Tarannikov | 2008-03-09 00:22:00 |
I did not say that the 9th move of Okabe is not strong, I said that it seems to be new. In most part of games black used more straight way of playing, it seems that white controls the situation. |

|
Yuriy Tarannikov | 2008-03-09 00:29:27 |
Alexandrov - Kozhin 0:1, Nizhniy Novgorod, 2003.
Other games were played in Internet. |
|
|
Yuriy Tarannikov | 2008-03-09 00:31:39 |
Dzainukov - Poddubniy at Renju Offline, 2007 |
|
|
Yuriy Tarannikov | 2008-03-09 00:34:51 |
Oll - Dzainukov at Renju Offline, 2007 |
|
|
Yuriy Tarannikov | 2008-03-09 00:36:17 |
The game between unknown players at Renju Offline where black won. |
|
Alexander Zhikharev | 2008-03-09 06:31:37 |
What do you think about next space move? |
|
|
Aivo Oll | 2008-03-09 09:26:08 |
Just a correction, the first game was between me and Dzainukov and the second one was Dzainukov vs. Piddubny. Also, I will bring my game with jinzhiyuye from renju offline. |
|
|
Ando Meritee | 2008-03-09 12:00:12 |
Aivo, what is your conclusion about this 8th move? |
|
Aivo Oll | 2008-03-09 18:39:53 |
I am not exactly sure about the outcome but it seems to me that black is under continuous pressure and has to play very accurately, otherwise it will lose. I am talking about the situation after my 9th move, black can choose another plan too. |
