WOW, Egor Serdyukov! | 2008-02-22 20:24:18 |
Is it really same Egor whom i saw fighting for the places around 40 in Russian First League in November 2006? :) Before this HL i thought that if he is doing good, he can maybe get 6 points out of 10 and around 4th places, but if he fails he can even be last. But he won the tournament! Who could ... |

Indeed, who could have seen this coming. Maybe now team Podyuga should represent Russian first team in the coming TWC :) |

Congrats Egor! Really great performance..
Good point Aivo. I hope we will see the new champ and other Podyuga players fighting for the TWC title in Helsinki.. |

Amazing!! It is so nice to see young players finally harvesting the success after hard work in renju study. I am sure this victory will give Egor more self-confidence for his future renju career and perhaps we can see his strong games in AT 2009, too. |

Speaking of this Russian Championship High League, I also want to point out that the organizers were doing a wonderful job publishing games, tournament table, news and photos online during these days. The whole world was watching with big interest every day! Big thanks to Nonna, Viktor and Pavel !! They did a super good job!
They gave a good example to others how it is possible to bring the tournament so close to observers all over the world, giving the feeling of almost being there. :) |

Yes, Ando is right. I didnt participate this time, but i can tell about previous competitions, like last Russian First League that Pasha Salnikov was seldom thinking about his move behind renjuboard, usually he was busy with organising things, so i couldnt understand how could he get so many points in tournament with so low concentration |
