What can I say? The 22nd move falls into same category as the 40th move in the game Shen-Lents. White players in both games were obviously not recovered from their long travel yet.
Speaking of the variant itself, it is considered to be win or almost win for black. Kawamura published several diagrams about black attacks many years ago after his Meijin-sen Match games with Nakamura and showed his ideas of attacks there.
The strongest 15th moves is L5 after which white is still forced to go 16-i8. If we compare such moves with the current game, then with 17-g6 we transfer to current game. However, its obvious that in such case g6 is not the best move on board.
Kawamura recommends 17-j4 after 15-L5, 16-i8. My favorite style is 17-e7, 18-d8, 19-j4. |
